Contribution for Enactus USM Four22 Project
Enactus Universiti Sains Malaysia (Enactus USM) is a non-profit organization that focuses on community development by adding entrepreneurship element into the transformation. Four22 is a social project established by Enactus Universiti Sains Malaysia since June 2016 with the objective to raise public awareness on the importance of upcycling.
Project name Four22 signifies Earth Day which falls on 22nd April annually. Its main aim is to inspire, motivate and ignite passion among single mothers into taking action on preserving our environment while empowering themselves in society.
Through this meaningful project, single mothers will be trained to transform used cloth, vinyl and tarpaulin banners into eco-friendly bags as well as improving their income through profits. In supporting this project, USG have generously contributed 2 sewing machines for the House of Hope. (Lorong Sempadan 2, Taman Rifle, 11400 Ayer Itam, Penang)
The machines contributed are:-
1. Brother Single Needle Lockstitcher Machine
2. Juki 2 needle 4 thread Overlock Machine
